Finding this shop was completely by chance and I am surprised I had never found it online before given the beautiful and wide range of stationery items it offers! Finding wonderful stationery and placing an order from a small business was truly the best feeling ever, as it felt like discovering a small treasure. This shop and its owners did not disappoint with the care they took to prepare the items and their polite and discreet manner of approaching a new customer. I am not surprised the team won an award for the best online retailer - I have been purchasing from them for a while and it has always been a smooth process. Delighted to find this from a UK supplier, means I dont have to waste money on postage from the states, and that is only if you can get a space on the A&O subscription list. I like the 'surprise element' of not knowing what it will contain, always good quality and can be used for gifts if not my 'cup of tea' as beautifully packaged. Another lovely box of surprises from Under the Rowan Trees. I love this subscription as it doesn't follow a monthly format, so you always get a surprise. Sometimes it might be for journalling or more focused on pens and paper/notebooks. The themes are always lovely and well coordinated so easy to use stand alone without having to hunt out other supplies.

My order was beautifully and carefully packaged with a gorgeous Thank You card. A lot of thought and care was taken, I felt special. Thank you “Under the Rowan Trees.”

Love this store. You can get everything from sensible sketchbooks to unique stickers, the staff are really helpful and postage is extremely fast. I have followed this shop from the early days when it was just Danielle to now where other staff have been employed (I hope I got the names right). I would love to see more planners and planner items such as Websters, as there aren't many English stores i have found that stock these.

This is my second join the dots pen from midori & I love the fact there is less faffing with multiple pens & lids when colour coding in my journal and my tracker. I love anything that is functionally designed that saves time, space & money. The muted shades are stunning & the circles are so satisfyingly perfectly round. Oh the small joys. Highly recommend.

Not only does this pen look and feel beautiful to hold, it's the smoothest gel pen I have ever used. No more disposable gel pens for me, this one is a lifelong friend.

Really well packaged when it arrived and comes in its own little case. The ink was super easy to install and started working almost straight away. The ink is smooth and the pen itself is comfortable to hold. Really lovely pen!! I may need to get one in every colour 🙂

Have done 2 of Milly’s online courses and just starting a third. Thought it would be useful to have her book too. The book goes into detail on tools, inks, colour as well as the basic strokes and letters. Looking forward to trying some of the projects on unusual surfaces.

I am a long time fan of Mark’s stationery & was so excited to get this to add to my mainly vintage collection (see photos).
I think everyone needs one of these notebooks. The zip pocket cover allows for customisation & can store precious pens. The paper is silky smooth & a beautiful white, it’s is a delight to write on. Not forgetting the multiple interior pockets in the front & back cover for storing loads of stuff. Being able to buy notebook refills is a bonus.

i’ve tried them all — Diamine Registrar’s, R&K SketchInk, Platinum Pigment Inks, Noodler’s Eternals, Monteverde Documentals, De Atramentis Document Inks, etc — and now the Diamine Forever Inks. for my money the Diamine Forever Inks are one of the best. waterproofness is of primary interest to me and they very much are. they seem well-behaved in a variety of fountain pens which is very much not always the case. highly recommended!
