February’19 – Stargazing
The theme for this box was all things intergalactic. I’ve always been a lover of stars and all things celestial and there are so many beautiful items available currently that a stargazing theme was a no-brainer!
Our featured artist for the Stargazing Stationery Box was the lovely Hattie Buckwell. I discovered Hattie via Etsy and fell in love with this Solar System illustration which she has printed onto these beautiful greetings cards. They are almost too beautiful to give away! It would look beautiful framed especially in a child’s bedroom.
Hattie works with watercolour and ink to create her own magical illustrated world. I love the whimsical style and muted colour palette which she used in much of her work. Check out her Etsy shop here.
As always, this box is backed with stationery to satisfy your addiction! It included:
- Propelling pencil;
- Galaxy washi tape;
- Planet stickers;
- Metal bookmark;
- Moon sticky notes;
- Star paperclips;
- Galactic vellum;
- March calendar page.
I always like to include some extra little treats to fit in with the theme. One of my son’s favourite Christmas presents were glow in the dark stars. He now has several constellations (not to scale!) on his bedroom ceiling. Top tip – they are perfect for adding to light switches so you can find them in the dark!
I couldn’t resist the cute star bunting too. Great for party decorating, craft room va-va-vooming or chopping up for craft projects. How will you use yours?
